About Rickeys Alkaline Farm
The Story Behind Every Harvest.
Rickeys Alkaline Farm is built around a simple belief: growing food deserves care, knowledge and respect for the soil.
Meet Rickey, the grower
Growing Food the Way It Deserves.
Our focus is on cultivating quality produce, connecting people more closely with how their food is grown and making fresh farm purchases part of everyday life.
Rickey’s Alkaline Market Garden and Fruit Forest grows at Woodoaks Farm in Maple Cross, near Rickmansworth. It is a family-run farm: Rickey, his wife and their children work side by side, from tending the beds to welcoming visitors every Sunday.
A builder by trade, Rickey is also a wood carver, garden designer and farm consultant. His mission is simple: find the science of bringing the soil back, so we can grow the food we need. Healthy soil, he says, grows healthy food, healthy bodies and healthy minds, and those build a healthy community.
Rickey believes in community over corporation. He opens the farm to share what he has learned with families, children and young entrepreneurs, helping people reconnect with the food they put on their plates.
Our mission

Our vision for the future
More Families. Same Care.
Rickey’s vision is to build a farming community where knowledge is shared and passed on to the next generation, and to make his seasonal produce easier to enjoy through regular home delivery.
